Shweta Bachchan says kids Navya Naveli Nanda, Agastya make fun of her menopause: ‘For you it’s a joke, but…’

Amitabh Bachchan's daughter Shweta Bachchan recently opened up on going through menopause and how it agitates her when her kids Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda make fun of it.In the latest episode of Navya's podcast 'What the Hell Navya', Shweta shared that her children joke about her mood swings but she does not find them funny. "My own children say it to me. If I am in a bad mood and I shout at them, they will say, ‘Oh, mom is menopausing today.’ That’s not fair. "Everything is basically out of your control. Menopause means a lot of things -- you lose your hair, you start putting on weight, you have mood swings, and you have temperature control issues. A lot of women lose a lot of self-confidence and it leads to many mental health issues," she explained.Shweta expressed her disappointment over women being "left on the shelf" after the age of 40-50. "A woman's main purpose, supposedly, is to procreate, you cannot do that anymore. You serve no purpose. You now just have to fade into the background. This will never happen to men.
